The Sales Engineer is principally responsible for the sale of Paramount Tool products to provide innovative solutions to customer work requirements on Paramount machine tools. The position reports to the Sales Director on the development of prospective accounts and retention of current customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Building and fostering customer relationships
  • Promoting the sale of company products and providing technical sales support
  • Conferring with Applications Engineers to assess equipment needs
  • Developing, presenting, or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements
  • Recommending improved materials or machinery to customers
  • Proactively visiting customer facilities for review of outstanding engineering and service-related problems, including strategic review of sales opportunities for up to, but not limited to, a minimum of 25 visits per week
  • Proactively visiting customer facilities in order to resolve difficult engineering issues
  • Report requirements: Submit Territory Planning and Sales reports weekly. Expense reports are to be submitted timely, per expense policy requirements.
  • Developing strategic and tactical plans in order to accomplish yearly sales goals
  • Partnering with engineering staff for demonstrations
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimal Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited university and 5+ years of B2B relevant sales
  • 2-5 years in B2B sales/business development
  • Recent experience in machine tool environments preferred

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for mechanical design, technical analysis, and resolution for our automation equipment. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with 3+ years mechanical equipment design experience with 3D modeling software.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participating in product development through design engineering, 3D modeling, drawing creation, and component selection
  • Developing detailed design drawings and specifications for production parts using SolidWorks
  • Reviewing prints prepared by other engineers
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimal Requirements

  • Design and design review – Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who has a passion for engineering and can offer unique and complex engineering challenges that require persistence, original thinking, and a positive attitude
  • Technical skills – Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Solves technical issues independently with support from team.
  • Excellent communication skills and be capable of interacting with other engineers, shop technicians, sales, customers, and vendors

The controls engineer is responsible for complete electrical and pneumatic hardware design package development as well as programming, commissioning, customer training, and final machine operation documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hardware design of electrical circuits to US and international standards
  • Control panel layout (familiarity with UL508A is a plus, but not required)
  • Specifying purchased components based on customer and machine requirements
  • Contributing to the risk assessment team for assigned projects
  • Organize and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Complete projects on time and within budget
  • Communicate effectively with customers and fellow team members to solve problems encountered during design / build / commissioning of assigned projects
  • Develop all required programs for assigned projects including, but not limited to:
    • Motion control
    • Vision / measurement / inspection
    • Data acquisition
    • PLC programming
    • User interface
    • Robot integration
    • Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems is also a plus

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience, 4+ years if previous OEM / specialty equipment experience
  • CAD software – Solidworks Electrical experience is not required, but is a plus
  • Spreadsheet, word processing, database tool experience
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Willingness to perform final commissioning and training at customer facility. Estimated travel is between 25 and 30% annually.
  • Valid US state driver’s license is required, valid passport is a plus
  • Work visa would be considered

The Machine Builder constructs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for custom factory automation equipment. This role participates in the coordination and integration of equipment. The Machine Builder will collaborate with mechanical design engineers, controls engineers, machining specialists, and project managers in accordance with all applicable plans.

  • Managing time and expectations across multiple projects

  • Ensuring that changes and problems are documented and communicated properly
  • Assisting with the preparation of material for secondary processes
  • Communicating with team members on project progress
  • Effectively and safely operating hand and power tools, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas
  • Training and teaching less experienced machine builders

Minimal Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) years building custom industrial equipment or machines
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Driver’s license
